A look back at 2018

It has been an exciting year once again for EiB. We have welcomed new members of the team, travelled across Europe working with clients such as PoRR, Egis, Mota Engil and Sacyr, and most importantly won our clients millions of pounds of new work.

We have supported successful bids for transport bodies across the British Isles, including Highways England, Network Rail, Transport Scotland, Transport for Wales (TfW) and  Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

This work has included several large highways tenders such as Highways England Area 10 M&R, Routes to Market, DiP as well as helping a European engineering company to prepare for and go through Highways England’s StART process. We also helped Balfour Beatty win the £103m highway services contract for Telford and Wrekin Council.

Our rail expertise also secured wins for our clients including the TfW Wales and Borders Metro, the largest contract ever awarded in Wales at £5bn. In the utilities sector, we have supported Glan Agua with their successful tender for relocating Affinity Water’s treatment plants as part of the wider HS2 project. Meanwhile we also have ongoing bids with contract award notices due in Q4 2018/19.

Our success has attracted a range of new clients from a number of sectors, including VolkerLaser, Farrans, Egis Lagan Services, John Paul Construction, Henry Brothers, Toppesfield, Kier and Transport for Wales. We look forward to continuing to help them secure new contracts in 2019 to build on the successes of this year.

Our two new-starters this year Jess and Keith have fast slotted into the team and have forged strong relationships with the clients they have worked with so far. No doubt this will continue in the new year.

And so, we look ahead to 2019 where we hope to work with even more new clients, adding to our impressive track record. We are also hoping to expand our team further and would welcome any CVs from individuals with the skills we are looking for to grow our business and support our rapidly expanding client base.
